Today my crew had requested multiple readings of If you Give a Dog a Donut.
I was inspired by the vibrancy of this page's water colors,
as well as the fact that we had just lived and actual family WATER FIGHT to do this simple art project.
I mixed up my own "liquid water color" by scraping some blue out of our crazy-art water color paint pallet, and mixing it with water. I stuck three paintbrushes is it and printed off 3 Felecia Bond's Dog, courtesy of google image search.
Although I modeled how to speckle it on in a way I thought mirrored the illustrator's techniques... the results were as individual as my three children!
It was a fun, cool project, for this dog day of summer!
